Create a commercial or community enterprise at the Railway Station. This would save the heritage building from dereliction & enhance the townscape

Great idea. We definitely have to focus on bringing more people to the town in the way of local tourism and international tourism. A heritage center at the old railway house is a great idea. Perhaps with a coffee shop.
I also believe we can look at other buildings in the town and create a tourism trail to follow, for example, old church, school house, hay’s bar, Jo Stewards, old bank and post office etc. Perhaps Lakeland can be approached to turn the bank into a heritage center to honor the company’s history in the town. This would fall under companies giving back to the community.
