Focus Family Resource Centre, funded by TUSLA under the National Family Resource Centre programme, has been serving Killeshandra and surrounding areas since 2009. Committed to equal opportunities and community support, we welcome everyone through our open-door policy. Whether you need assistance or guidance, no problem is too big or small, and we work with agency partners to find the help you need.

Mission Statement
Focus Family Resource Centre Killeshandra aims to create a positive environment where people are encouraged and supported to build their confidence, to meet their own needs, access their rights, fulfil their own potential and engage equally in society.
To fulfil its aim Focus Family Resource Centre endeavours to engage people experiencing social exclusion and marginalisation and to develop projects to reduce levels of poverty and isolation.

Community Groups
Youth+
This parent-led group for families with additional needs meets every other Saturday at 1 PM. It offers a safe, inclusive space for parents and children to connect, play, and share ideas. Open to all families with a member who may not join regular social or youth clubs. A €5 donation helps cover supplies.

The Queen Bees
Ladies social group meeting on Mondays at 8pm, participating in a wide range of activities and outings. Open to new members this is an ideal way to get out and socialise, meet friends and neighbours and try some new activities.

Parent & Toddler
Our parent & Toddler group meet ever Wednesday morning in The Loft for fun and games and a chance for parents to meet up and enjoy a cuppa. A great space for the little ones to enjoy, The Loft offers space for free play, a reading station & lots of games and toys to keep the little ones entertained and busy. €2 per family
Grow Group
The Grow Mental Health group are a non-judgemental peer support group of people with first-hand experience of mental health challenges, finding ways of helping each other recover from mental health challenges or life struggles. They meet weekly on Monday evenings. For more info contact Eileen, 086 0436258.
The Woolpack
The Woolpack meet on a Monday afternoon 2pm-4pm in Focus. This group are open to anyone wishing to share any needle craft. The ladies regularly take part in local craft shows displaying & selling handmade knitted & crocheted items. Join them for a chat, a cuppa and exchange new ideas! €2.00 per session.
Counselling Service
Focus offers a professional, confidential, and affordable counselling service for adults, children, and teens in need of support. Referrals can come from GPs, schools, or self-referral.

Beacon Family Support
Funded by TUSLA, this service provides one-to-one support for children and families, helping to create positive change and well-being. Our family support worker offers practical and emotional solutions, including parenting skills, managing behavior, and confidence building, all in a safe environment.

Stay active, creative, and connected with our regular classes designed to suit all interests and abilities. Whether you're looking to stay active, pick up a new hobby, or make new friends, there's something for everyone!
- Pilates: Monday - 10.30am / Tuesday - 7pm / Wednesday - 3pm
- Gentle Exercise: Tuesday - 10am -11am with Claire Shannon
- Breffni Quilters – Meet fortnightly on Saturdays 10.30am – 1pm. Social group of local crafters meet to share ideas, support, collaborate and have a cuppa!
