TradFest

Each St Patrick's weekend the Killeshandra Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann group hold their annual Irish traditional music, song and dance weekend. This weekend caters for all ages and abilities. We invite local junior Comhaltas groups to attend over the three days and perform on the stage in the town centre.
Tradfest usually starts with the St Patricks Day Parade followed by local sessions.
One morning session is dedicated to children's music classes in fiddle, flute, button accordion, and bodhrán, followed by a ‘come-and-try’ workshop.
Irish language enthusiasts can join a Comhra Gaeilge session.
Tradfest evening sessions feature local and invited artists.
Our 2025 special guests will be Ceoltoirí Óga Laighean and The Tradoodle Big Band. This is an exciting project featuring groups from all over Leinster.
Tradfest 2024 was a huge success and was made possible by generous funding from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and Cavan Arts. Make sure to call down for a bit of Craic Agus Ceol.
