Peace and tranquility

Trinity Island Lodge

A private island to yourself, staying in an original stone-walled lodge situated in 150 acres of forest surrounded by lakes that connect to the River Erne in County Cavan.

Take in the view of the lakes and the 12th-century Trinity Abbey. Enjoy the private walks around the island, following badger/deer trails, listening to the dawn chorus, meditating, reading, writing, taking photographs, fishing, and taking a trip by canoe, boat, or float tube. Afterwards, enjoy a sauna.

The island is idyllic and private for you to enjoy during your stay. The lodge is comfortable for up to six guests with a well-equipped kitchen and relaxing living room with scenic views of the lakes and countryside. There are three bedrooms with twin beds that can be joined to make doubles and a sauna to relax at the end of the day.

Two fishing boats are available.

The lodge is located on Trinity Island which has road access close to Killeshandra.

The island has a forest which is occasionally tended by foresters. The abbey is of historical interest and attracts some tourists to visit at certain times of the year.
